2008 Boys finish strong & head to playoffs
The 2022-23 regular season was nothing short of spectacular for the 2008 ECNL boys team. The team went 10-0-4 in division action, one of only four U15 teams in the entire country to not be beaten in divisional competition. The success didn’t come easy as they had a target on their backs after winning the division title last season. Last year’s feat marked the first time a boys team qualified for ECNL Nationals in club history. The team finished the regular season with a 25-1-10 record. Along the way they won the Indiana Elite Fall Showcase, went unbeaten in the Winter ECNL Showcase in Saint Louis and the Ohio Elite College Showcase. They also went a perfect 3-0 without allowing a goal at the Crossroads of America College Showcase at Grand Park in April. The boys were exceptionally devastating at the Pride Performance Center as they went 6-0-1 in seven home games, outscoring its opposition, 18-1 in those games with six shutouts. On defense, the team was especially stout as they posted 21 shutouts in 36 games, while allowing only more than two goals in a game once all season. They finished with a 0.62 goals-against average in the 36 games. In addition, there were only six games during the year where the opposition scored more than one goal. In ECNL games, the boys gave up only seven goals, tied for the second lowest amount of any U15 boys team in the nation. The boys will be back in action June 25 in Greensboro, North Carolina looking to break more records and make more memories. The boys will be the top seed in a group of four teams with the field being separated into 16 four-team pods. The 16 group winners will then face each other in a sweet 16…

Participants from both clubs will benefit from added development opportunities. Providing player pathways, while encouraging individuals to achieve their goals, is part of the mission statement of both clubs. In a landscape of unpredictability and unknowns for most soccer parents, our clubs look forward to coming together to provide a clear, predictable pathway for all our athletes where club leadership can help players and families navigate youth soccer. We will be able to support our club families to not only understand their goals and desires but also provide every opportunity for them to develop as a person and a player. With a combined 30 year’s experience, we have seen youth soccer evolve and change. In a continued effort to serve our respective memberships, we are confident that this is the right time for our partnership by enhancing the benefits offered to the players, our clubs and the sport of soccer in Indianapolis. Together we can offer players a multitude of opportunities on and off the field. Families at both clubs will benefit through additional resources and options to meet each player’s specific needs. 2008 ECNL Boys advance to playoffs
For the second straight season, the 2008 Boys have clinched a spot in the ECNL National Playoffs, becoming the first boys team in club history to accomplish the feat. The boys are currently 8-0-4 in league play, one of only four teams in the entire U15 ECNL division to not have a loss on the season. In addition, Coach Tony Massie’s squad went undefeated at the Indiana Elite Fall Shootout, the Grand Park College Showcase, the St. Louis ECNL Showcase, the Ohio Elite College Showcase and the Crossroads of America College Showcase. In fact, at the Crossroads of America College Showcase at Grand Park, they were the only team in the top U15 division to post a 3-0 record. On the season, the boys have only lost one game in 34 outings and have compiled an impressive 19 shutouts. They finish the season this weekend at the Pride Performance Center against the Rockford Raptors and Eclipse Select before heading to Greensboro at the end of June. Come out and support the team!
